This site was inspired most recently the X Prize foundation, and more so by the other contests held throughout history http://www.nmm.ac.uk/harrison. Contests are a very efficient form of R&D. R&D one key thing our country needs. We intend to raise capital which will be put up as prize money, and then those that contributed will get to vote on what the prize will be for. I am starting it off with $10,000 of my own money and I will not participate in the elections. So, at a bare minimum, $10,000 will be a prize for somebody to accomplish something! I can’t wait to see what it will be!
